Our Vision and Design Principles
Humboldt General Hospital is in the process of adding more than 35,000 square feet to its facility. But before the bricks and mortar went up, we worked with architects and engineers to not only meet their design specifications but also to take advantage of the opportunity for an overall cultural change.
We want to do more than just add square footage to the hospital. We want this expansion to represent a shift in our focus-a shift to the patient, to making it easier and more pleasant for our community members to access our healthcare services.
We are looking to build more than just a box; we are looking to build a caring community where patients and guests at the hospital feel at peace about their experience. We know that patient care begins with how people are received. Can they find their way around, do they feel welcome, confident, do they know where they're going and are they sure they will receive good care once they get there?
We believe that through good planning and good design, we can ensure that vision becomes a reality.
Our Vision and Design Principles:
- We will build a modern healthcare facility which provides flexible, energy efficient and comfortable spaces for the community.
- We will build a facility that promotes wellness to its patients, visitors and staff.
- We will build a facility whose design is open, warm and appropriate to the region while incorporating a patient-centered layout which promotes the highest quality of customer service.
